VINTAGE SEIKO QUARTZ 8222-5120 – FEBRUARY 1982

A really cool vintage Seiko Quartz with bags of character and a fantastic naturally worn patina. This is one of those watches where the age and wear are part of its appeal rather than something to hide.

The caseback is marked 8222-5120, with serial number 210859. Using Seiko’s serial dating system and the period of the 8222 movement, this dates the watch to February 1982.

It features a classic early-1980s cushion-shaped gold-tone case, champagne/gold dial with subtle vertical stripe detailing, applied baton hour markers, central seconds and date display at 3 o’clock.

The gold-tone finish has developed considerable wear and patina over the years, particularly to the bracelet and case edges, revealing the base metal in areas. We think this gives the watch a superb genuine vintage look. Please study the photographs carefully for the exact condition.
