A lovely vintage Seiko ladies quartz dress watch, reference 1421-5610, with a small octagonal gold-tone case, champagne/silver dial and matching fine gold-tone bracelet.

The dial is marked SEIKO QUARTZ and features applied gold-tone baton hour markers with three-hand timekeeping. The shaped crystal and stepped case give this a particularly attractive late-1970s/early-1980s dress-watch appearance.

The case back confirms Seiko calibre 1421 / case reference 5610, and this exact 1421-5610 reference is documented as using Seiko's 1421 quartz movement.

Manufacture date: The serial number is 101641. Under Seiko's serial-number convention, the first digit gives the year within the decade and the second character 0 denotes October. Taking the calibre/reference period into account, this dates the watch to October 1981.
