Authentic Time is built on a simple idea: great watches shouldn’t sit forgotten. We find them, bring them back to life, and make them yours.
A distinctive vintage Seiko Quartz gents watch, reference 2432-5160, dating to October 1981.
The watch has a striking rectangular gold-tone case with an integrated bracelet and a champagne/gold textured dial. The dial features minimalist baton detailing, three hands and a date window at 6 o’clock. The wide integrated bracelet gives this Seiko a particularly strong late-1970s/early-1980s dress-watch look.
Manufacture date: October 1981. The case-back serial number is 100862. Under Seiko's serial-number system the first digit represents the year within the decade and the second digit 0 represents October. Combined with the 2432 quartz calibre/reference and the period styling, this dates the watch to October 1981, rather than 1991.
In pre-loved condition with age-related scratches, marks and noticeable wear to the gold-tone finish, particularly around the case and bracelet. The crystal also shows some surface marks. Please judge the cosmetic condition from the detailed photographs.
