This is a particularly nice full-set Citizen Eco-Drive, and the provenance really adds something to this example. Finished in stainless steel with contrasting gold-tone detailing, it has a smart black dial with gold-tone hour markers and hands, oversized 12 and 6 numerals and a date window at 3 o’clock.

Powered by Citizen’s renowned Eco-Drive technology, the watch charges from light, so there is no conventional battery replacement required. The caseback confirms Citizen calibre J810 and case reference J810-S094534. The reference is also independently catalogued as a Citizen J810 model.

What makes this example particularly appealing is just how much of its history has remained with it. It comes with the Citizen presentation box, outer packaging, original cards/booklets and, importantly, its original F. Hinds purchase receipt dated 16/01/2016 showing a purchase price of £179. A lovely piece of provenance that is becoming increasingly difficult to find with watches of this age.

Presented in good pre-loved condition with normal age-related surface marks and scratches visible to the case, bracelet and caseback. The black-and-gold dial presents particularly well and gives this Citizen a very smart appearance.
