A really handsome and unusual Citizen Eco-Drive chronograph, with a distinctive rectangular case and a rich chocolate-brown dial. This is a great-looking older Citizen that stands apart from the more commonly seen round Eco-Drive models.

The dial has a strong Art Deco influence, with oversized Roman numerals at 12 and 6, three subsidiary displays, date window and contrasting gold-tone detailing. The gold-tone case works beautifully with the brown dial and matching croc-effect leather strap.

Being Citizen Eco-Drive, the watch is powered by light and stores energy in its rechargeable cell rather than requiring a conventional disposable watch battery.

The dial and case markings identify the H501 Eco-Drive movement, with the dial code H501-S077929-KA. The caseback also carries the Citizen Eco-Drive globe emblem.

A very attractive pre-loved example. There are age-related surface marks and scratches to the case and caseback, together with visible wear and creasing to the leather strap, all of which can be seen in the photographs. The brown and gold colour combination gives this Citizen a particularly classy appearance.

A superb-looking rectangular Citizen Eco-Drive chronograph and a much less commonly encountered design than the standard round Citizen models.
